Live (Synchronous) Online Classes
During the COVID-19 pandemic, ALPS has online classes available.
Online classes are taught via Zoom. ALPS classes are 100% live (synchronous) and interactive. Nothing is prerecorded or asynchronous. All online classes are taught live and feature the same dynamic, interactive teaching style as our in-person classes.
For students who feel more comfortable studying from home, ALPS will continue to offer online classes through the end of the pandemic.
Online classes are still limited to 8 students maximum per class so that students can maximize their speaking practice and get individualized feedback from their teachers.
In order to take ALPS online classes, you will need:
- a computer, tablet, or phone with a strong Internet connection
- headphones or speakers so that you can participate in class
- a free Gmail account in order to access class notes and materials on Google Drive
During the COVID-19 pandemic, most ALPS classes will be bimodal style. That means that some students will attend face-to-face and some students will attend online. This will allow students who feel more comfortable staying home to continue studying online. Bimodal classes feature the same interactive ALPS teaching style, with lots of speaking practice and opportunities for feedback.
All ALPS classes are limited to 8 students maximum per class, including both online and in-person students, so that students can maximize their speaking practice and get individualized feedback from their teachers.
