How to Win

Participants earn entries to the drawing for each student they recruit and additional entries are awarded when their company promotes ALPS on social media or their website. The winning entry will be drawn on March 31, 2024.

Prize Details

The prize is complimentary 4 weeks of English group classes at ALPS Language School, and homestay application fee and up to 30 days of homestay accommodation. Classes will take place between April 22, 2024 and March 14, 2025. The winner will also be the guest of ALPS Executive Director for drinks and Pacific Northwest appetizers with a 360-degree revolving view of Seattle at The Loop Lounge at the Seattle Space Needle.

The winner may choose to attend the full-time General Intensive English Package which is 18 hours of class weekly but if regulations pertaining to the winner’s visa status limit the number of hours the individual can attend (the winner may have a tourist visa, for example), other combinations of group classes of equal or lesser value may be approved. Alternatively, if the winner cannot attend the school, they can receive $1000.00 USD cash.

Participants receive one entry for each student they recruit who completes at least one 4-week session at ALPS between July 1, 2023 and March 30, 2024.
A bonus entry will be awarded for each additional student recruited who completes their first session during the same calendar quarter (2023: July 1-September 31, October 1-December 31; 2024: January 1-March 31). See below for an example.
Representative/Agency can earn promotional entries for the top participant in their company by verified website and social media promotions. See below for details.

Rules, Definitions, and Examples

Representative refers to a company with a current letter of agreement to recruit students for ALPS Language School.

Participant is a Representative employee, manager or owner.

The participant’s recruited student’s application must contain the name and email address of participant as well as the name of the Representative company.

Participants may enter the Seattle Recruitment Incentive Prize Drawing Contest (referred to as “Promotional Contest” from July 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024.

The Seattle Recruitment Incentive Prize Drawing will be held on March 31, 2024 at 10am Seattle time at ALPS Language School (430 Broadway E, Seattle, Washington 98102 USA) where a qualified entry will be randomly drawn from all qualified entries.

The winning participant will be notified via email on or before April 5, 2024 and should reply to the same in order to claim and arrange for their selected prize. If the prize is not claimed within 10 days of the notification, a second drawing date will be announced and another qualified entry will be randomly drawn in the same manner as described above.

Entries, Bonus Entries and Promotional Entries are paper forms that will be created by ALPS staff. They will have the participant’s name and corresponding contact participant and Representative Company information and what type of entry it is.

Bonus Entry example: Participant recruits students A, B, C and D and they complete at least one 4-week session during the period October 1 through December 31, 2023. Participant receives one entry for each of the four students. Participant earns a bonus entry for students B, C and D because they completed during the same calendar. Participant receives seven entries total.

Promotional Entries for verified website and social media promotion: Representative companies who promote ALPS on their website or in their social media campaigns will receive one promotional entry for each verified promotion. For promotional verification, send a link to or picture of each promotion including the channel name (i.e., website name or social media channel name such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) to info@alps.edu while the promotion is still active. Just prior to the drawing, all of the promotional entries for each Representative company will be created and awarded to the top participant associated with the company.

Promotional Entries Example: Representative company X has 5 verified promotions (ALPS is added to their website and the company makes four social media posts.) 3 participants from Representative company X have earned entries for the drawing: Participant A has seven entries, while participants B and C have 5 each. The 5 promotional entries from Representative company X are awarded to Participant A, the participant with the most entries from Representative company X, just prior to the drawing so that Participant A now has a total of 12 entries.

No purchase is required to enter this contest.
The winner does not need to be present at the drawing to win.

All dates and times are Pacific Standard Time or Pacific Daylight Time and all calendar dates end at 11:59 pm.
All official communications will be conducted via email.
Publicity rights: ALPS has the rights to unlimited use of the name and images of the winner in all forms of publicity.
Eligibility Requirements: Eligible Participants are agency owners, managers or other employees of Representatives (companies with a letter of agreement to recruit student for ALPS Language School). They must be employed by that same representative at the time the entry is earned, at the time of the drawing and at the time the prize is redeemed.
Space Needle Loop Lounge Guests must be 21 years and over.
Termination date: Prize must be redeemed on or before March 14, 2025.
The value of the prize is: up to $1299 USD or the then value of 4 weeks of the General Intensive English Package at ALPS Language School, plus $300 USD Homestay placement fee or the then value of that placement fee, plus the actual homestay fee up to $1000 USD. If the winner opts for a cash prize, the prize is $1000.00.
The name of the winner may be requested at the address above.
The winner may assign the prize to another participant at the sole discretion of ALPS Language School and this assignment must receive written approval.
There will be no financial compensation for missed classes the student misses or does not or cannot attend.
All costs and arrangements related to this trip for travel, meals and incidental expenses are the sole responsibility of the winner.
The class prize and homestay prize must be taken at the same time.
If the cash prize is selected the prize will be sent via check, Zelle or wire transfer on or before April 30, 2024 unless a later date is mutually agreed on in writing.
The odds of winning depend on the number of entries.
This offer of the Promotional Contest is valid worldwide in any country where ALPS has a representative with a Letter of Agreement. However, this offer is void where prohibited by law.
All taxes owed to any government for the selected prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.
